and so it begins....

phew!! This blogging thing is not easy to figure out!! I almost decided to quit before I got everything set up, but after months years of telling myself that I am going to start a blog....I am finally not all talk!  I have had many worries going through my mind before I decided to start this blog (will I be a good blogger?, Is my life interesting enough to blog about it? (probably not, but oh well), will I have enough time in my life to blog?, will any one read????) BTW....as I sit here typing this Darren keeps asking me, "What is a blog??" "What do you do on a blog?" "Is that going to be on the internet??" haha......Anyway, as I sat down to begin today, I was immediately faced with a dilema, and quite a dilema it was for a person like me who is SO indecisive.  So the pressure was building for me when I saw that first off, I had to choose a blog NAME! Okay, call me crazy, but names, any kind of names (kids names, pets names, etc) require a lot of thought and meaning.  So after researching and researching (looking through the dictionary and thesarus...yes this is true) I FINALLY came up with the name "Snapshot of the Smiths."  Still don't know if I completely LOVE it, but I think it is very fitting and it describes what this blog is all about.  This blog is just a small snapshot into our lives as we begin a new journey together as husband and wife, and try to figure out what the bigger picture to life is and what God has planned for us.  Yes, I do realize that my family and very close friends will probably be the only people reading this blog; however, this will allow us to feel closer to everyone whom we may not be able to see that much anymore. 
So with that being said, I hope you enjoy the small snapshots into our lives!!
